Terps Sprinting to Semester’s End Still Stop to Celebrate the Season

We’re past the days of cherry blossoms drooping with gaudy pink baubles and daffodils gently swaying next to the Peace Garden on McKeldin Mall.
Terps have traded their sweats for shorts and now walk to class as honeysuckle floats on the breeze.
It’s the most beautiful time of the year at the University of Maryland: Students swing in hammocks on McKeldin Mall, toss Frisbees on the Engineering Fields and sketch with classmates outside Tawes Plaza.
They’re dashing into the final days of classes and a storm of final papers and exams, but they’re also pausing to soak in the springiest corners of campus, as our photographers documented in recent weeks.
