No, you’re not seeing double or a new Mars candy advertisement—that's two M Circles on the University of Maryland campus as construction continues to make way for the new light-rail Purple Line.
With most of the UMD community off campus due to the coronavirus pandemic, this image gives a sneak peek at the transformation of the area, where, once fully completed, the new M will replace the old one. Trees were just planted, and next steps include adding an irrigation system, installing a granite letter outline and planting sod and flowers.
