University of Maryland President Wallace D. Loh, shown with state Sen. Jim Rosapepe (D-College Park), yesterday received proclamations from the Maryland House of Delegates and the Senate in recognition of his upcoming retirement after 10 years of leadership at UMD. “Dr. Loh’s strengths are his vision, his decisiveness and his courage,” Rosapepe said.
In thanking the members of the Senate, Loh said it has been an honor to lead the university, and that his tenure has comprised “perhaps the most meaningful years of my life.”
