The University of Maryland’s Do Good Campus Fund will award at least $200,000 next year to student, staff and faculty projects that make a social impact.
Now entering its third year, the fund provides grants of up to $35,000 for faculty and staff-led projects, and $5,000 for student groups, empowering members of the University of Maryland community to grow, scale or launch their initiatives.
Previously funded projects have spanned nearly every school and college and ranged from building social impact-oriented education programs to expanding sustainability initiatives and honoring historic legacies, expanding UMD’s leadership as the nation’s first Do Good Campus.
The grants were awarded by the Do Good Campus Strategic Leadership Council, in collaboration with Senior Vice President and Provost Jennifer King Rice and the Do Good Institute. The campuswide Arts for All initiative also partnered on several projects, contributing $70,000 in matching funds last year for arts-related proposals that bring creativity and social impact together.
Faculty, staff and student groups are encouraged to apply online for funding to advance new or existing initiatives by the Nov. 3 deadline. Awards will be announced in Spring 2026.
