UMPD Celebrates National Night Out With Community Members

Event at Lakeland Park Promotes Partnership Between Police and Locals

Dozens of local residents turned out Tuesday for National Night Out, and evening of fun and fellowship with University of Maryland Police Department members at Lakeland Community Park.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign held in 16,000 communities nationwide that aims to connect people with the law enforcement officers that protect and serve them.
