Admitted students from Baltimore City and Prince George’s County celebrated their achievement and learned more about the possibilities of a University of Maryland education at two events hosted by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

The roughly 95 prospective students and their families heard from President Darryll J. Pines, Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management Shannon R. Gundy, Director of Undergraduate Admissions James B. Massey Jr., current students and local alums. They also had the opportunity to speak with other students considering enrolling at UMD.

The Baltimore #NowATerp dinner was held at the Sheraton Inner Harbor, while The Hotel at the University of Maryland was the site of the Prince George’s event. Taylor Thomas ’02, now a news anchor at 96.3 WHUR and a Sirius radio host, told the group in College Park, “There is nowhere that a UMD education can’t take you.”
