Men’s Basketball Team Hosts Athletes for Annual Clinic
Video by Maryland Athletics
The Terps men’s basketball team has notched some gratifying victories this season, but Sunday’s event was what Head Coach Mark Turgeon called one of his favorite days of the year.
Members of Special Olympics Maryland, ranging in age from middle school to adults, stopped by Xfinity Center to shoot hoops with the Terps. More than 60 people participated in the annual clinic, with plenty of high-fives and cheers to go around.
Turgeon laid out just one condition as the group led a series of drills: “Please don’t dunk on any of my players today.”
