Hate-bias Response Log Launched

Office of Diversity and Inclusion to List Reports on Campus

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion has created an online hate-bias response log to inform the campus community about reported incidents.

The log, available on the Hate Bias Response Program’s website, captures all hate-bias reports. Its creation was a key recommendation earlier this year of the Joint President/University Senate Inclusion and Respect Task Force.

“This log is a step toward increased transparency, and it also allows students, staff, and faculty to see the outreach provided to impacted parties,” said Cynthia Edmunds, interim chief diversity officer.

The Hate-Bias Response Program has also created a hate-bias response protocol, a new online reporting tool, hate-bias trainings and the newly formed hate-bias response team.

The log will undergo a continuous improvement process and be refined through feedback from the campus community.
