Visitors to the University of Maryland have a new choice for a place to call home at the end of the day: the Cambria Hotel College Park.

A collaboration between Southern Management Corporation and Choice Hotels International, the Cambria, which opened Aug. 1, replaces a long-vacant auto dealership and is part of the changing landscape of Baltimore Avenue. It offers guests 150 rooms, a fitness center, 1,350 square feet of conference space and a new restaurant, College Park Grill. In the fall, an adjoining Orangetheory Fitness studio will expand College Park’s exercise options even more.

The hotel is part of Greater College Park, a $2 billion project to enliven the campus and surrounding community with support from private and city, state and federal partners with the university.

Explore the Cambria in the photo gallery below.
