University of Maryland defensive back Jalen Huskey was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft on Friday evening.
With Huskey's selection, the Terps have now had a player chosen in nine straight NFL Drafts, and 30 of the last 32. Huskey, who was chosen No. 100 overall, is Maryland's eighth defensive back selected in the last eight drafts.
Huskey garnered Second Team All-Big Ten honors in his final season with the Terps last fall, appearing in all 12 games with 11 starts. His four interceptions—tied for the team lead, fourth in the Big Ten and 16th nationally—helped Maryland record its most since 2010. He also made 72 tackles, which ranked second on the team and sixth among Big Ten defensive backs.
Huskey, who participated in the East-West Shrine Bowl and was invited to the NFL Combine, is expected to earn his sociology degree in May.
