The storied Maryland men’s and women’s lacrosse teams will compete in the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals this week.
The No. 4-seeded Maryland women will play Florida at noon on Thursday in College Park. The game will be televised on ESPNU. Tickets are available.
The team (14-5) dominated James Madison, 17-7, on Sunday at UMD’s Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex, avenging its loss to the Dukes in the second round last season. The Terps have won four of the last nine national championships, most recently in 2019.
The No. 7-seeded men will play No. 2 Duke at 2:30 p.m. May 18 at James M. Shuart Stadium in Hempstead, N.Y. The Terps (9-5) beat Princeton, 16-8, on Saturday at SECU Stadium—a season high for UMD goals. They last won a national championship in 2022.
