The 2025 Maryland men's soccer team is the No. 1 team in the nation, according to the United Soccer Coaches Poll released on Tuesday. It’s the first time the Terrapins have held the top spot since the 2019 preseason poll.
The Terps hold a 11-0-3 record while going 7-0-2 in Big Ten play and are at the top of the conference’s standings after a 1-0 win vs. Washington on Friday night. Maryland is one of just two unbeaten teams in Division I, and its .893 winning percentage leads the nation. Head Coach Sasho Cirovski's squad has the second-highest scoring offense in the nation, averaging 2.57 goals per game.
The Terps will travel to East Lansing, Mich., to take on Michigan State for the regular season finale at 8 p.m. Friday with a chance to clinch the Big Ten regular season title. The match will be streamed on B1G+.
