A cool new creation from the Maryland Dairy is perfect for Miss Piggy—and sweltering summer days.
Kermit’s Kiss, which honors University of Maryland alum and Muppets creator Jim Henson ’60, features mint ice cream and Belgian chocolate flakes and is available starting Wednesday at the Dairy in the Adele H. Stamp Student Union.
The flavor will debut at an ice cream social at the 2023 National Puppetry Festival, held on campus July 18-22. Highlights include:
- Friday, 2-3 p.m.: “Puppets and Autism: A Special Connection” panel discussion featuring Jim Henson Foundation President Cheryl Henson (free)
- Saturday, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.: “Sam and Friends: The Story of Jim Henson’s First Television Show”: Presentation and book signing by Craig Shemin (free)
- Saturday, 2-3:30 p.m.: Puppeteers of America Community Day Puppet Parade; participants are invited to bring their own puppets (free)
Day passes and tickets for individual performances are available for purchase; some free events require ticket registration.
