A.J. Francis Canned Food Drive at This Weekend’s Terps Games

Terps sports fans can also give back to those in need this weekend at the annual A.J. Francis Canned Food Drive at all Maryland Athletics home events.

Francis, a Washington, D.C., native and former UMD defensive lineman, played four seasons of football for the Terps from 2009–12 before notching nine games in the NFL. He will attend each competition throughout this weekend’s food drive.

Fans are encouraged to bring nonperishable items to the identified gates prior to each game:

Men's Basketball
Date: Friday, Nov. 22
Opponent: George Mason
Game Time: 7 p.m.
Collection: Begins at 5:30 p.m. and ends midway through the first half (approximately 7:30 p.m.)
Locations: Xfinity Center gates A, B, C, D and E

Volleyball
Date: Friday, Nov. 22
Opponent: Illinois
Match Time: 8 p.m.
Collection: Begins when doors open for men’s basketball and ends at the conclusion of Set 1 (approximately 8:30 p.m.)
Location: Xfinity Center gates C and D

Football
Date: Saturday, Nov. 23
Opponent: Nebraska
Game Time: 3:30 p.m.
Collection: Begins at 2 p.m. and ends at the conclusion of the first quarter (approximately 5 p.m.)
Locations: Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium gates C, F and I

Women's Basketball
Date: Sunday, Nov. 24
Opponent: Quinnipiac
Game Time: Noon
Collection: Begins at 11 a.m. and ends at the conclusion of the first quarter (approximately 12:45 p.m.)
Locations: Xfinity Center gates C and D
