Maryland men's soccer had four student-athletes selected in the MLS SuperDraft on Thursday: Sadam Masereka, Colin Griffith, Stephane Njike and Lasse Kelp.
The program now has a total of 62 MLS SuperDraft selections, including 25 in the last 22 SuperDrafts. It also marks the sixth consecutive season with a Terrapin being selected in the SuperDraft.
Masereka was selected 34th overall by Sporting Kansas City. He led the Terps in both points and goals, earning All-Big Ten First Team honors. His year was highlighted by a first-half hat trick in the regular-season finale at Michigan State, Maryland's first hat trick since 2017 and first in a single half since 2005.
Griffith was selected 45th overall by the Portland Timbers. Griffith had his best season to date in College Park in 2024, finishing the campaign with a career-high six goals and one assist; he scored in four consecutive matches.
Njike was selected 61st overall by D.C. United. Njike, an All-Big Ten First Team selection, finished second on the team in goals, assists, and points, and led the Terps with four game-winning goals.
Kelp, the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist, was selected 85th overall by D.C. United. Kelp anchored one of the nation's top defensive units, playing all 1,730 minutes this season.
