Army ROTC Career Day Comes in for a Landing

Cadets Consider Job Options After Commissioning

A UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter thundered to a landing on Chapel Field yesterday afternoon, kicking off Career Day activities for the University of Maryland’s Army ROTC program.

In an open house across the street at Ritchie Coliseum, the organization’s 121 cadets along with interested members of the university community had a chance to talk with representatives from the various branches of the U.S. Army. That included familiar combat arms career fields like infantry, armor and aviation, but also specialties that civilians might not have heard about, like adjutant general (aka, HR), as well as the newest kid on the block—cyber warfare.
