Starting With Masks, Health Center Director Addresses Campus COVID-19 Concerns in New Video Series

Learn the latest Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance on double masking from the new University Health Center director as he answers pressing questions #4Maryland.

“4 Questions with Dr. Marinopoulos” is a new video series hosted by Dr. Spyridon Marinopoulos debuting today. This segment focuses on wearing a mask. To protect yourself and those around you, yours should:

  • Fit snugly against your face;
  • Cover your nose, mouth and chin;
  • Have at least two layers; and
  • Allow you to see and breathe easily.

Marinopolous also suggests wearing a disposable mask under a cloth mask.

As the coronavirus epidemic continues to evolve, he’ll address additional health and safety questions relevant to the UMD community in new segments throughout the semester.
