USM Chancellor, Presidents: ‘Together, We Can End This Virus for Good’

System Leaders Join in Effort to Encourage COVID-19 Vaccinations Across Maryland

University System of Maryland Chancellor Jay A. Perman and the system’s 12 university presidents have come together in a new promotional effort to encourage COVID-19 vaccinations across the state, the USM announced today.

The multimedia campaign adds to other state activities amplifying the vaccines’ safety and efficacy—especially among hesitant communities—and will highlight how the system’s faculty, staff and students are helping to fight the pandemic.

As part of the initiative, the 12 university presidents pledged to get vaccinated as soon as they become eligible—and urged all Marylanders to do the same.
