Yesterday’s first snowfall of the season was more than predicted—and out of season: Amid the mix of sleet, rain and snow, 1.4 inches of snow was recorded at Reagan National Airport (the D.C. area’s official data-collection site), the most in November since 1989. The conditions prompted some to question whether the university should have delayed its opening or closed for the day.
