Storm Turns Campus Into Wintry Playground

A heavy blanket of snow over the weekend transformed the University of Maryland from the drab doldrums of winter into a wonderland of white—and led to the closure of campus on Monday. During and after the estimated 8- to 10-inch accumulation, Terps pulled out their sleds and put their snowman-building skills to the test as the plows got to work.
