Planting Flags, Growing Remembrance

Student Veterans Organization Leads Annual Observance of 9/11

Ethan Fabyan '25 plants American flags on McKeldin Mall on Tuesday as part of Veteran Student Life's annual event, Operation Stick-It. Members of the UMD community placed 2,977 flags in the lawn to honor and remember the lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001. Fabyan has participated in the event since his first year at UMD.
