Votes Sought for Ag Enterprise Challenge’s Audience Choice Award

By Maryland Today Staff

The College of Agriculture and Natural Resources is encouraging the UMD community to vote online for the Audience Choice Award in its annual AgEnterprise Challenge.

The competition, which promotes student innovation and entrepreneurship in agriculture, natural resources, and environmental sustainability, is not being held in person this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. Instead, the five student teams—Color-Flower Waffles, Mobile Aquaponics Teaching Assistant, Missgis, Munch and Omega 3—have submitted videos to a panel of judges. They will select a winner, who will receive up to $30,000 to support their venture.

Voting for the Audience Choice Award began yesterday and ends at midnight April 27. The team with the most votes will win $1,000 for their project. Visit the competition page for details on each team’s project and submit your vote through the "Audience Choice Award Voting Form" button. Terps are asked to vote just once.
