While the University of Maryland operates under severe research restrictions to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission, Vice President for Research Laurie Locascio will host a virtual town hall and panel discussion on Zoom from 1-2 p.m. tomorrow to discuss research administration, funding and other topics.
Division of Research personnel will address the following topics in the session:
- State of research at UMD in FY20 before and after COVID-19 restrictions (Laurie Locascio)
- How agencies are responding to COVID-19 for research administration (Denise Clark)
- How agencies are responding to COVID-19 for research opportunities (Eric Chapman)
- Difference between contracts, grants and cooperative agreements and federal guidance (Wendy Montgomery)
- Direct charging to sponsored programs (Marchon Jackson)
- Sensitive and Restricted Research (Adam Grant)
