UMD Supports School Supply Drive for Local K-12 Students

The University of Maryland Office of Community Engagement is partnering with the Lakeland College Park Community Center and UMD’s chapter of Omega Psi Phi fraternity to support a back-to-school supply giveaway for up to 200 local K-12 students in need.

The group has created an Amazon Wishlist with items from Prince George’s County Public Schools’ school supply list that can be purchased online.

Volunteers are needed to stuff backpacks with these items 5:30-7:30 p.m. Aug. 14 at Lakeland College Park Community Center. All donations will be given away for free the following day at the community center.
