UMD Offers Survey, Conversations on Investing in Staff

By Maryland Today Staff

The university has launched a survey and will host virtual campus conversations for staff members to inform a new staff investment plan.

One of the priorities of UMD’s new strategic plan, Fearlessly Forward, is to invest in people and communities, so the university is asking staff to share perspectives on their work life and ideas for improvement on the short survey, which is open until 5 p.m. July 1. Participation is voluntary, and responses will be anonymous.

The Center for Leadership and Organizational Change (CLOC) will host the series of conversations, where colleagues can gather to describe what investment in staff looks and feels like and to offer ideas to improve work life at UMD. Each of three one-hour sessions held this month will cover the same information. Register by clicking on one of the dates below:

Data from the survey and campus conversations will be reviewed in July and August and used to inform the plan. A summary report will be shared with President Darryll J. Pines’ Cabinet and campus leadership in September, then more broadly with the campus community.

Contact CLOC at cloc@umd.edu with questions or to learn more.
