The University of Maryland has been nominated in two categories in the 2021 "Best Of" awards competition sponsored by marketing and membership organization Unique Venues.
UMD appears on the ballot for "Best Venue for Locally Sourced Catering" as well as "Best Venue for Weddings. Potential voters are encouraged to visit https://go.umd.edu/Vote2021 and cast their votes in these two categories.
The "Best Of" Awards recognizes the standout campuses, conference and business centers, sports arenas, historical and cultural venues, camps and retreat centers, and other special event venues that made a lasting impression on guests. Last year, more than 55,000 planners who regularly use the services provided by Unique Venues to connect with nontraditional spaces voted in a total of 22 categories.

The Conferences & Visitor Services department has brought 11 "Best Of" Awards to the University in the past six years.
