UMD Again Recognized Among the Best Places to Work in Student Affairs

By Maryland Today Staff

The American College Personnel Association-College Student Educators International and Diverse: Issues in Higher Education have selected the University of Maryland Division of Student Affairs as one of the 16 Most Promising Places to Work in Student Affairs in 2022.

The list takes into account factors like workplace diversity, staffing practices, work environment, family friendliness, salary and benefits, and professional development opportunities. This is the second year in a row that the University of Maryland has been selected for the honor.

The Division of Student Affairs reaffirmed its commitment to a supportive, developmental work environment that aligns with UMD’s mission, vision, and values, attends to individual and collective needs, and facilitates employee growth and development.

“The work we do on behalf of our students and the campus community is important to the University of Maryland’s mission of inclusive excellence. We improve the quality of education for all Terps. That’s why I’m so proud that we are named one of the Most Promising Places to Work in Student Affairs for the second year in a row,” said Vice President for Student Affairs Patty Perillo. “Our dedicated staff have continued to nourish a supportive, caring environment under extraordinary circumstances. The need to foster community on university campuses has never been greater, and I am thrilled that my colleagues’ efforts have been recognized once again.”
