Tinashe and Teezo Touchdown to Headline Art Attack Concert

Student Entertainment Events (SEE), the University of Maryland’s student programming board, will welcome Tinashe and Teezo Touchdown for the annual Art Attack concert on May 2.

The two will take the stage at the Xfinity Center at 8 p.m.; the line starts at 5:30 p.m. It’s part of a full slate of Art Attack Spring Mania events this month, including music, crafts and Art Attack XLI giveaways.

Tickets to the concert are required. UMD community tickets are $20 for floor seats and $15 for bowl seats. UMD community members may purchase one ticket and are required to show their UID upon entry. Tickets for the general public are $35 for floor seats and $30 for bowl seats. Members of the general public may purchase up to 2 tickets and are not required to present ID. Tickets will be available for purchase through UMDtickets.com at noon on Friday.

Tinashe Jorgensen Kachingwe is an alternative R&B singer, songwriter, dancer and actress who first landed on the Billboard Hot 100 with the single “2 On” in 2014. She has released seven studio albums. Most recently, her 2024 hit song “Nasty” achieved viral success and preceded her latest studio album, “Quantum Baby.”

Aaron Lashane Thomas, better known as Teezo Touchdown, is an alternative hip-hop rapper, singer, songwriter and producer who has built a reputation as one of hip-hop’s most eccentric artists. He is known for his collaborations with Tyler, the Creator, Drake, Don Toliver and Travis Scott. After a string of singles and a standout feature on Scott’s “Utopia,” he released his debut studio album “How Do You Sleep at Night?” in 2023. Most recently, Teezo Touchdown has delivered celebrated features on Doja Cat’s “Scarlet 2: Claude” and Tyler, the Creator’s “Chromakopia.”
