The Clarice to Require Proof of Vaccination of Patrons

By The Clarice Staff

The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center joins with University of Maryland Athletics in announcing a COVID-19 vaccine requirement for patrons attending all performances. The requirement will go into effect on Jan. 24 and remain until further notice.

All patrons 12 years of age and older—including students—must provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result from a test taken within 48 hours of the performance for entry into the venue. (Home tests will not be accepted).

The requirement for indoor mask-wearing by all attendees will also remain in effect. All patrons who are not in compliance will be issued a verbal warning. Patrons who continue to be noncompliant with the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center’s policies will be asked to leave the venue.

Patrons are encouraged to allow extra time to enter The Clarice. In addition to a photo ID, patrons must provide one of the following:

  • COVID-19 vaccination card
  • Picture of COVID-19 vaccination card
  • Screenshot of COVID-19 verified immunization record (i.e. from health care provider or pharmacy)
  • Screenshot of test results of negative PCR or rapid antigen test. (Home tests will not be accepted)

The Clarice thanks patrons for their continued support of and cooperation with evolving policies to keep audiences, students, staff and artists safe and healthy. The most up-to-date information is available on The Clarice’s website. Questions can be directed to the ticket office, which can be reached by phone noon-5 p.m. weekdays at 301.405.ARTS or by email at tickets-theclarice@umd.edu.
