The National Symphony Orchestra announced on Tuesday that its 2026-27 season will include a performance of Handel’s “Messiah” hosted by the University of Maryland’s Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center.
Early-music expert Richard Egarr will conduct one of the most celebrated works in the choral-orchestral repertoire, a hallmark of the NSO’s holiday programming.
Performances of “Messiah” at The Clarice will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18 and Saturday, Dec. 19. Single tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, Aug. 28. Information about soloists and the chorus will be announced at a later date.
