Survey to Assess Transportation Needs of Campus Community

By Maryland Today Staff

Starting today, students, faculty and staff are invited to make their voices heard by filling out a survey from the Department of Transportation Services (DOTS) aimed at creating a greater understanding of campus commuting behaviors and interests.

From parking needs to what motivates members of the community to choose various modes of travel, the information gathered will help develop strategies to improve transportation at UMD for everyone. The survey also aims to measure the short- and long-term effects that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on commuting.

The survey is open through Sept. 30, and everyone who participates will automatically be entered in a raffle with prizes including Apple AirPods, a one-year Audible audiobook membership and a Lumos smart bike helmet. Take the survey by Sept. 22 to receive an extra entry.
