Comedian Hasan Minhaj will headline Student Entertainment Events’ (SEE’s) 2020 Homecoming Comedy Show at the University of Maryland on Oct. 29.
The show will be a virtual interactive interview session including a moderated Q&A, online Pictionary game and audience Q&A. The show will begin at 8 p.m., with a pre-show at 7:30 p.m.
The show is open to the UMD community and alumni. Tickets are free of charge for members of the UMD community and $15 for alumni. Tickets went on sale today at umdtickets.com.
Minhaj is the host and creator of the Emmy and Peabody award-winning weekly comedy show “Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj,” which explores the modern cultural and political landscape.
In 2017, he starred in a one-hour Netflix comedy special, “Hasan Minhaj: Homecoming King,” that earned a Peabody Award, hosted the White House Correspondents' Dinner, and appeared for the first time at UMD for the Homecoming Comedy Show. A first-generation American, Minhaj was a correspondent on “The Daily Show” with hosts John Stewart and Trevor Noah.
