SEE to Host ‘SNL’s’ Marcello Hernandez at Homecoming Comedy Show

Student Entertainment Events (SEE) will welcome “Saturday Night Live” cast member Marcello Hernandez as the headliner of its 2025 Homecoming Comedy Show at 7 p.m. Oct. 26 in the Xfinity Center.

Tickets are required for entry and will be available at umdtickets.com starting at 2 p.m. on Sept. 18. UMD community tickets cost $15, Terrapin Club and UMD Alumni Association members pay $30, and general public tickets are $40. One ticket can be purchased per UMD ID. Up to two tickets can be purchased for those in the Terrapin Club, Alumni Association and the general public. Tickets purchased within the UMD community must be accompanied by a physical UMD ID.

To preserve the integrity of this event, attendees’ phones will be placed in a pouch and locked. To access their phones during the show, attendees must go to a phone-use area within the venue.

Hernandez, a comedian, writer and actor with Cuban and Dominican roots, started his career performing stand-up in Miami clubs and in online videos. He joined “SNL” in 2022 as both a featured actor and a writer, becoming the show’s first Latin cast member in nearly a decade as well as its first Gen Z member. Hernandez gained widespread attention for his character “Domingo,” particularly in a parody of Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso.”

He was named a Just For Laughs New Face in 2022 and has opened for established names like Dave Chappelle and Colin Jost—the latter at UMD. Hernandez has also appeared in “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and in 2024 released his first comedy special, “Que Paso?.”
