SEE Presents Actor, Show Host Lamorne Morris for Back to School Lecture

Student Entertainment Events will host actor and comedian Lamorne Morris at its annual Back to School Lecture at 8 p.m. Sept. 24 in the Grand Ballroom of the Adele H. Stamp Student Union.

The event for the UMD community will feature a moderated Q&A and audience Q&A. Tickets are free and required for entry online through UMD’s ticket office. 

Morris started his career as an on-air personality on BET’s early 2000s game show “HotWyred.” He transitioned to BET’s music and entertainment news station, BET Now, then hosted Cartoon Network’s 2009 game show, “BrainRush.” He played Winston Bishop on the popular FOX sitcom “New Girl” for seven seasons and won a 2024 Emmy for best supporting actor on “Fargo.” He most recently co-starred with Nicolas Cage in the recent Marvel TV series “Spider-Noir.” 

His movie credits include “Saturday Night” (2024), “Jumanji: The Next Level” (2019) and “Barbershop: The Next Cut” (2016).
