SEE Hosts Laundry Day at Welcome Weekend Concert

The pop-rock band Laundry Day will headline Moonlit Music, Student Entertainment Events’ fall welcome concert, at 10 p.m. Aug. 24 in Nyumburu Amphitheater.

The band formed in 2018 during high school in Manhattan with music that merges synth-pop with nostalgic melodies. It has gone on to perform at Lollapalooza and Governors Ball and opened in May for Ed Sheeran in Brooklyn, N.Y. Laundry Day has released five studio albums, most recently “Younger Than I Used To Be,” and has over 200,000 followers on TikTok.

In the event of rain, the concert will be held in the Stamp Student Union’s Colony Ballroom. Doors open at 9:30 p.m., and a UMD ID is required for entry. Tickets are not required for this event and entry to the venue will be on a first-come, first-served basis, pursuant to venue capacity and campus policies.

Student Entertainment Events (SEE) is the University of Maryland’s student programming board. All programming emphasizes the mission of service to the campus community and to the Adele H. Stamp Student Union-Center for Campus Life.
