OMSE Seeks Excellence in Service Award Nominees

By Maryland Today Staff

The Office of Multi-ethnic Student Education (OMSE) is accepting nominations through Feb. 1 for university faculty, staff, tutors and mentors who have made outstanding contributions to advancing the inclusive excellence of multi-ethnic students on campus.

Nominees will be judged on their service to and involvement with multi-ethnic students in the areas of teaching, tutoring, mentoring and staff support.

Current staff members in OMSE are ineligible for the award in the areas of faculty, mentor and staff, but tutors are eligible in the tutoring category. Additionally, nominations should come from someone other than the nominee. Incomplete nominations will not be accepted.

Winners in each category will receive a service medal at the 2019 OMSE Academy of Academic Excellence Awards on March 12 in the Grand Ballroom of the Stamp Student Union.

Nomination forms are available here.
