The nomination period is now open for the University System of Maryland Board of Regents’ Staff Award, with the deadline for submission extended to Nov. 18.
Regular and Contingent II staff with at least five years of service are eligible to be nominated, or may self-nominate for this award, the highest systemwide recognition of staff members.
A list of the five award categories, description of the nomination process and links to required documentation may be found on the University Senate website. The University Senate’s Staff Affairs Committee will review the nominations and recommend finalists to UMD President Darryll J. Pines.
Awardees receive a one-time award in the amount of $2,000 and formal recognition by the Board of Regents and the University Senate.
