A new tool in the University of Maryland app now allows users to report non-emergency, outdoor physical issues on campus, such as abandoned scooters or bikes, broken parking meters, litter, and concerns about roads or walkways.
Through UMD 311, students, faculty and staff can take photos of issues and upload them to the app. UMD 311 can automatically detect the location of the problem. The system is monitored Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
UMD 311 is not intended to be used for emergencies, indoor issues like problems with HVAC systems or anything that happens off-campus.
