Most Staff, Faculty Granted Administrative Leave Dec. 23

By Maryland Today Staff

University President Darryll J. Pines sent the following email to staff and faculty today:

As we approach Winter Break, I continue to reflect on my gratitude for your commitment and service to our university through the many ups and downs over the past two years. I could not be more proud to serve as the president of this great university and as your colleague.

On behalf of myself and my leadership team, thank you for all that you continue to do to support, grow and advance our institution. You embody the excellence that we strive for every day.

This year, we will recognize Dec. 23, 2021, as an administrative leave day for all regular and contingent II faculty and staff. University Human Resources will follow up with additional details.

We look forward to welcoming our community back in the new year.

Warmest holiday wishes,

Darryll J. Pines
