Senior Vice President and Provost Jennifer King Rice sent the following email to campus leaders today:
I am pleased to inform all of you that I am reappointing Dr. Boris Lushniak as Dean of the School of Public Health for another five-year term, extending through June 30, 2027.
This decision follows a positive comprehensive five-year performance review, chaired by Keith Marzullo, dean of the College of Information Studies. The review was conducted thoroughly and gave Dean Lushniak high marks for his many accomplishments during his first term. Dean Lushniak’s review indicated a great level of satisfaction in his leadership and ability to foster excellence in the teaching, scholarship, and service activities in the School of Public Health. The report of the committee also provided recommendations for continued success and growth in the years ahead.
I have discussed the report with Dean Lushniak, and he shared with me his thoughtful observations and plans for continuing to advance the mission of the School and addressing the recommendations of the committee. He has my full support. His success rests on everyone in SPHL, and I am confident that under Dean Lusniak’s leadership, the SPHL community will continue on its upward trajectory. I am pleased with the successes in the School of Public Health under his tenure, and look forward to even greater achievements in the years ahead.
Regards,
Jennifer King Rice
