When survivors of sexual and domestic violence seek forensic medical care, even small comforts can make a scary, overwhelming experience feel a little less isolating.
That’s why Campus Advocates Respond & Educate (CARE) to Stop Violence has partnered with the University of Maryland Police Department and the Student Government Association to support survivors receiving care at Adventist HealthCare. They are collecting new blankets, new stuffed animals and $10 gift cards (Panera Bread, Qdoba, Subway, etc.) for child and adult survivors.
Drop off items through April 30 at the CARE Office (ground floor, University Health Center), the LGBTQ+ Equity Center, the Memorial Chapel or the SGA Office in the Student Organization Resource Center in the Stamp Student Union. Gift cards must be dropped off at the CARE Office only.
Every donation is a reminder that our community cares. Learn more and get donation ideas at go.umd.edu/hospitaldrive.
