Homecoming Office Decorating Competition Scheduled

By Maryland Today Staff

Registration opens today for the university’s sixth annual Homecoming Office Decorating Competition.

Using the theme of “Haunted Homecoming” and “Win Over the Wolverines,” staff, faculty and students are encouraged to show their Homecoming spirit and win a pizza lunch and a trophy to be rotated annually between the winning offices.

Groups must register by Oct. 15 and can start decorating their suites or reception areas on Oct. 18, spending a maximum of $50. (Recycling of materials is highly welcome.)

John Zacker, interim vice president for student affairs, Spirit of Maryland finalists, and a group of student leaders will judge each office on creativity, theme/spirit and originality. The winner will be announced at the Terp Carnival on McKeldin Mall at 5 p.m. Nov. 1. Find the full schedule and list of rules here.
