Registration is open through noon Oct. 3 for the University of Maryland’s 10th annual Homecoming Office Decorating Competition.
Entries will be judged on creativity, originality and adherence to this year’s theme: 100 Years of Homecoming. One grand prize winner will be selected by a committee composed of a member of the Division of Student Affairs’ Vice President’s Council, the Spirit of Maryland finalists and a group of student leaders.
The winning office suite will receive a Dining Services Snack Pack and a trophy that rotates annually between the winning offices.
This year, a People’s Choice Award has been added for those who want to show off their office on social media. Use #UMDHomecoming or tag @umdhomecoming when promoting Homecoming events.
Decorating takes place Oct. 2-6. People’s Choice photos must be submitted by noon Oct. 9.
Judging will take place Oct. 9-12, and the winner will be announced at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 13 at Terp Carnival on McKeldin Mall following a performance by the Mighty Sound of Maryland. A representative from the winning office must be present to accept its prize.
