Free Tax Preparation Offered Through TerpTax

TerpTax, a University of Maryland-affiliated nonprofit housed at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, is offering free tax preparation services to UMD students and low- to middle-income residents of the College Park community.

All of its volunteers are Internal Revenue Service-certified students working under the supervision of Faculty Director Sam Handwerger, CPA.

In-person and virtual appointments are available through April 14. A walk-in clinic is open after Spring Break from 6-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
