Free Access to Virtual Textbooks for Rest of Semester

By Maryland Today Staff

As the university shifts today to all-online learning, students will have free access to virtual textbooks from the University Book Center through the rest of the semester, the Stamp Student Union announced yesterday.

Together with online textbook and course material database VitalSource, the Book Center will provide up to seven books to every enrolled student with a UMD email address.

Students, who were asked not to return to campus to collect any remaining belongings, including textbooks, can access the textbooks through May 25, past the date when final exams will have concluded.

Tens of thousands of online textbooks are available through the program. Custom content and interactive content is not included.
