Fetty Wap to Perform at 42nd Annual Art Attack

Rapper and singer Fetty Wap will be the headline performer at the University of Maryland’s Art Attack concert on May 1, Student Entertainment Events (SEE) announced on Friday.

Lineup starts at 6 p.m., and the show will be at 8 p.m. Tickets are required for entry and will be available for purchase through UMDtickets.com starting at noon April 3. Floor tickets will be first come, first serve.

Born Willie Junior Maxwell II, Fetty Wap became a global sensation in 2014 with his breakout hit, "Trap Queen." He dominated the charts in 2015 with a string of top-10 singles including "679" and "My Way," eventually becoming the first male rapper in four years to have three songs in the Billboard Hot 100’s top 10 simultaneously. His eponymous debut album reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

The New Jersey artist experienced a cultural resurgence in 2025: His 2015 track "Again" re-entered the Billboard Hot 100 and hit No. 1 on the TikTok Billboard Top 50, fueled by a viral social media trend. Since his January 2026 release from prison, he has focused on community initiatives and released his fourth studio album, “Zavier,” on Friday.

Tickets to the Art Attack concert cost $20 each for the UMD community of current UMD students, faculty and staff. They may purchase one ticket and must show UID upon entry. Tickets for the general public are $35. Members of the general public may purchase up to two tickets and are not required to present ID.

SEE, the University of Maryland’s student programming board, will celebrate Art Attack throughout April with Road to Art Attack events. More information will be available on its Instagram account.
