A new and improved way to report facility issues at the University of Maryland launched on Monday. Students, faculty and staff can now submit repairs, maintenance or service requests and track their progress in one place: Facilities Service Central.
Developed through a collaboration between Facilities Management and the Division of Student Affairs (Residential Facilities, Dining Services, Recreation & Wellness, and the Stamp Student Union), the new web portal is faster and easier to use and will improve transparency in facility services across campus.
Terps can log in using their CAS ID, select a service category that best matches their request and follow the prompts to submit it.
It allows users to upload attachments, including documents and images, to provide additional details about a request, along with real-time updates and the ability to communicate with facilities teams as needed.
