Enterprise Resource Planning Steering Committee Announced

By Maryland Today Staff

Senior Vice President and Provost Mary Ann Rankin today announced the steering committee for the university’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) project, a multi-year effort to revisit systems, processes and workflows at UMD that broadly impact students, faculty and staff.

The members of the new committee are:

  • Jack Blanchard, Associate Provost for Enterprise Resource Planning
  • Joseph Drasin, Director, University Process Innovation, Division of Information Technology
  • Paul Dworkis, Associate Vice President, Finance, and Chief Financial Officer
  • Barbara Gill, Associate Vice President, Enrollment Management, Office of the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost
  • Cynthia Hale, Associate Vice President, Finance and Personnel, Office of the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost
  • Axel Persaud, Executive Director, Enterprise Engineering and Operations, Division of Information Technology
  • Jewel Washington, Assistant Vice President, University Human Resources

Blanchard, a professor of psychology at UMD since 1999, was appointed to his position in late March, and will lead the campus team responsible for implementing the new human capital management and student information systems.

Rankin called the six newly appointed members “key leaders with deep understanding of the UMD ecosystem who will help Jack in crafting the initial Requests for Proposals (RFPs) that will launch the process of solicitations for software vendor proposals and allow us to begin to make critical, tactical decisions.”
