The Department of Transportation Services (DOTS) is holding a holiday food drive Nov. 17-Dec. 5 to help stock the Campus Pantry, with extra incentives for drivers.
Terps who drop off 10 nonperishable eligible items at the DOTS office in Regents Drive Garage can have their parking citation fee dropped from $85 to $25, or from $45 to $15. If the ticket hasn’t yet transferred to the Office of Student Financial Services, they can also have the late fee waived. (Citations greater than $85 are not included.)
No ticket? Donate 10 items and receive a validation code for one free day of parking in designated visitor areas.
Eligible items include canned vegetables, canned beans, dry pasta (no ramen, please), canned meat (chicken, tuna or sardines), boxes of at least 10 individually wrapped bars of soap, and boxes of at least 30 feminine care products.
Items must be delivered to the DOTS office 8:15 a.m.- 4 p.m. weekdays.
Each individual account can receive a reduction on only one active citation.
