The Maryland Dairy is featuring a special promotional ice cream from May 6-11 to highlight University Libraries’ ongoing “Rising Up” exhibition at the Hornbake Library.
Rebel Rocky Road has a double chocolate base with marshmallow sauce, brownie chunks and salted pecans and was custom made for the exhibition opening in October.
“Rising Up” pays tribute to UMD students who have stood up against injustice for over 100 years, on topics ranging from segregation to suffrage, from the Vietnam War to LGBTQ+ rights, divestment from South Africa and Black Lives Matter.
The Maryland Dairy is open from noon-6:30 p.m. weekdays and until 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
